Situated in the heart of Saffron Walden, a delightful English market town on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border, The Restaurant on Church Street is an intimate venue for every occasion, with a warm and elegant atmosphere.

We are delighted to be fully open again. The safety of our customers and staff is at the heart of everything we do. We would like to reassure you that we will be fully complying with all aspects of the government's new guidelines; our tables are spaced at least 2m apart, our small team of staff will be wearing face coverings or shields as appropriate, hand sanitiser is available on all tables and a detailed cleaning regime is in place. 

We have also decided to keep a takeaway option available for anyone wishing to sample our delicious cuisine in the comfort of their own home or garden. 

We offer a varied and  beautifully executed modern European menu with a contemporary North African influence, using locally sourced quality produce, and our extensive wine list has been carefully selected to complement your meal. A personal touch fro the Chef/Proprietor Hassan Shamkh, combined with faultless service, make dining at The Restaurant on Church Street a truly memorable experience.
